Integrated Gamification

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Collaboration, Research, Directions, Brain Science, Probability, Art, and Making combine in an interdisciplinary unit based on Gamification. What is gamification? “Gamification is the application of game-design elements and game principles in non-game contexts.” What happens when students design games to teach other students? A magical mishmash of academics, transferable skills, and genuine engagement! Students use 3D printing, laser cutting, and many other maker skills to create assets for their games. They research their topic, write directions, test, iterate, and test again! The result? Real Learning.
