Welcome to the interactive web schedule for the 2018 Dynamic Landscapes Conference! Click on the "Helpful Info" section below for tips on navigating this site, and building your own agenda.

Under the heading "FILTER BY TYPE" in the navigation bar, you will see a list of options such as E, EM, EMH, M, H, etc. These indicate the target audience for the session. Some sessions target a range of ages (such as EM or elementary and middle levels) and others are more narrow (such as H or high school level only). Here is the key:
  • P = Pre-K
  • E = Elementary
  • M = Middle
  • H = High

The Emergence of Student Negotiated Curriculum in Vermont

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Educators and students from three Vermont middle schools who are learning via negotiated curriculum will share the stories of their different contexts. They will explore what they were doing before collaborating, how they started planning committees (SPC), what they have learned doesn’t work, what has been working well, and potential futures. Then attendees will choose to either participate in a simulated SPC with REAL students or imagine via guided conversation with REAL teachers what could enable them to initiate and sustain student negotiated curriculum at their schools or organizations.
