In 2017, the State Board of Education “adopted” the new updated ISTE standards for Students.  These standards have long been held by the Vermont education technology community as strong components of learning across various content areas.  In light of Act 77, and flexible pathways, how do we continue to incorporate these standards into a proficiency-based learning classroom and one that allows for personalizing learning.  We’ll use this time to explore some ways we can begin to cross-walk these standards with other work you are doing at your schools to meet Act 77 and how we can strengthen the use of education technology for supporting learning.   Come ready to discuss and explore the standards and how we can make them more prominent in our work within schools.   Peter Drescher and Greg Young, from Agency of Education.
